Elevated experiences celebrating the culture through dance and rhythm

2 Nigerian artists set to join Burna & Rema on the 2026 World Cup album

Nigeria’s Afrobeats dominance is taking another major leap as two of the country’s brightest stars prepare to join the 2026 FIFA World Cup soundtrack. Fresh reports confirm that rising sensation Ayra Starr and rap heavyweight Odumodublvck will feature on the official tournament album, expanding Africa’s already impressive presence on one of music’s biggest global stages.

The additions come as Nigerian music continues its historic run of international collaborations. Ayra Starr is reportedly linking up with American rapper Latto for a track titled “Show Me,” a pairing that promises to merge the Mavin Records star’s captivating Afropop melodies with Latto’s hard-hitting rap energy. For Ayra, the timing couldn’t be better—she’s riding high off recent international recognition and building momentum toward her highly anticipated third studio album. This World Cup feature marks yet another milestone in a career trajectory that keeps reaching new heights.

Perhaps even more intriguing is Odumodublvck’s reported collaboration. The Abuja native, who’s never hidden his love for football and regularly name-drops legendary players in his lyrics, will share a track with none other than Brazilian icon Ronaldinho, alongside Latin hitmakers Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavárez. It’s the kind of sports-meets-music crossover that feels perfectly suited for the self-proclaimed “Declan Rice of the Afrobeats genre.” The pair join an already stacked African contingent that includes Burna Boy, whose “Daï Daï” with Shakira serves as the tournament’s lead anthem, and Rema, who contributed to “Goals” alongside Lisa and Anitta.

With the 2026 World Cup set to make history as the first tournament hosted across three nations (USA, Canada, and Mexico), it’s only fitting that the soundtrack reflects the sport’s truly global reach. And once again, Nigerian artists are right at the center of the conversation.
