Alongside him, South African sensation Tyla continues her meteoric rise, representing the new generation of African artists crossing over into mainstream global consciousness with her infectious blend of Amapiano, Afropop, and R&B. Kenya’s Bien adds an East African flavor to the proceedings, showcasing the expanding geographical reach of African music beyond its traditional West African strongholds. British-Nigerian rising star Darkoo rounds out the top-tier acts, bridging the diaspora connection that makes Afro Nation such a unique cultural experience.
But the real depth of Day One lies in the Piano People Stage, where South Africa’s Amapiano revolution takes center stage. Uncle Waffles leads a formidable lineup that includes Zee Nxumalo, Felo Le Tee, Nkosazana Daughter, Royal Musiq, Success SA, JazzWorld, Thukuthela, and GL_Ceejay.
