2026’s Most Streamed Nigerian Projects on Spotify

Nigerian Artists Dominate Spotify in 2026: Asake’s M$NEY Leads the Charge

The Afrobeats streaming wars are in full effect, and Nigerian artists are proving once again that their global influence shows no signs of slowing down. As we move through 2026, Spotify’s numbers reveal an exciting race at the top, with Asake’s M$NEY currently holding the crown with a staggering 415 million streams. Close behind, Omah Lay’s Clarity of Mind is nipping at his heels with 389 million plays, setting up what could be one of the year’s most compelling chart battles.

The diversity of Nigeria’s music landscape is on full display throughout the top 10. Ayra Starr’s Starrgirl has cemented itself at number three with 203 million streams, standing as the highest-performing project by a Nigerian female artist this year. Meanwhile, the collaborative Real EP from Wizkid and Asake has pulled in an impressive 171 million streams at the fourth spot. Further down the list, we’re seeing strong showings from Shoday’s Hybrid (91M), Adekunle Gold’s Fuji Xtra (76M), and Blaqbonez’s No Excuses (Deluxe) (72.7M). CKay’s Banger Boy (72.2M), BNXN and Sarz’s The Game Needs Us (69M), and Davido’s Oriadé (67M) round out the top 10.

What makes this race particularly thrilling is that we’re still months away from year’s end. With several major releases anticipated before December, these rankings could shift dramatically. Whether Asake maintains his lead or another project surges past him remains one of the most intriguing questions for Afrobeats fans watching the numbers.
