For the first time ever, the renowned platform welcomes two Francophone African talents into the fold, bringing together six of the continent’s most dynamic hip-hop artists under the expert production of Nigerian hitmaker Sarz. This August’s lineup reads like a who’s who of contemporary African rap excellence. Cameroon’s Tenor becomes the first artist from his country to grace the Cypher, joining Ivorian wordsmith Suspect 95, South Africa’s award-winning Yanga Chief, Ghana’s genre-blending Kwesi Arthur, Kenya’s multifaceted Fena Gitu, and British-Nigerian lyricist Enny. Under Sarz’s creative vision, the project stays firmly rooted in hip-hop’s core principles while pushing the genre’s boundaries forward. Each artist brings their distinct flow and lyrical tradition to the table, creating something that honors the past while boldly charting hip-hop’s next chapter across the African diaspora.
