Nollywood heavyweight Funke Akindele just served a masterclass in how to honor traditional African textiles while pushing them straight into contemporary fashion territory. For the cast announcement of her upcoming film The Four: No One Fights Alone, the acclaimed filmmaker assembled a powerhouse lineup dressed in Adire that’s been reimagined as bold, structured wearable art—proving once again that indigenous fabrics deserve their flowers on the global stage.

Set for worldwide cinema release on December 11, 2026, The Four: No One Fights Alone tells the story of Esosa and three fiercely loyal women protecting a young man’s future across the Odu community and urban landscapes. To unveil the star-studded cast—which includes Funke Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, singer Waje, veteran Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Wunmi Toriola, and Afrobeats artist Shoday—the production went all-in on elevated Nigerian fashion. Designers Aso Nigeria crafted the women’s pieces while Ola Reay handled menswear, all styled under the creative direction of ZackStyling Luxury.
