Davido and Leon Thomas Celebrate Love Without Limits in “Tell Everybody” Visual
Davido is back in the spotlight with a new music video that’s as luxurious as the love it celebrates. Fresh off the political victory of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, in Osun State’s gubernatorial race, the Afrobeats superstar has released the official visual for “Tell Everybody,” a silky collaboration with American singer-producer Leon Thomas that appears on his latest album, Oriadé. The track’s message is simple yet powerful: when you find real love, shout it from the rooftops.
“Tell Everybody” doesn’t play coy. Both artists deliver verses steeped in unfiltered vulnerability, with Davido anchoring the chorus around the central declaration—”Tell everybody, you’re what matters to me.” It’s a refreshing departure from the usual keep-it-cool posturing in modern romance, instead championing the idea that genuine connection deserves public celebration. Leon Thomas complements this energy perfectly, confessing that despite his usual privacy, this relationship is too significant to hide. His lyrics touch on needing that special person’s affection to combat loneliness and maintain sanity, capturing the intoxicating nature of being completely consumed by someone.
The visual treatment matches the song’s grandeur note for note. Shot inside an opulent mansion complete with vaulted ceilings and crystal chandeliers, the video sees Davido commanding the camera in multiple looks—from a sharp black velvet tuxedo to a sky-blue suit accented with gold trim and dark shades. In a clear nod to his Oriadé (meaning “the crowned head”) album concept, he even dons an embellished crown-style cap. Leon Thomas brings his own flair in a cream-patterned jacket paired with relaxed two-tone trousers and a black leather durag. Against a backdrop of classical paintings and gold mirrors, the duo trades verses while dancers dressed in Victorian-inspired couture execute intricate choreography across the ballroom and down a sweeping staircase. It’s a feast for the eyes that elevates the track’s romantic proclamation into pure cinematic spectacle.
