Africa Creative Market 2026 Concludes Landmark Six-Day Gathering, Driving Innovation, Investment and Continental Collaboration

Africa Creative Market 2026 Wraps Historic Six-Day Summit in Lusaka, Championing Africa’s Creative Renaissance

Lusaka, Zambia just became ground zero for Africa’s creative revolution. The Africa Creative Market (ACM) 2026 wrapped up an ambitious six-day gathering that brought together thousands of delegates from across the continent, all united by one vision: transforming Africa’s creative industries into a global economic powerhouse.

Running from June 29 to July 4, 2026, the summit brought creative minds from Zambia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Cameroon, Senegal, and beyond. Delivered in partnership with the Creative Industries Business Summit Zambia (CIBSZ) and the Kwimbo National Arts Festival, ACM 2026 wasn’t just another conference—it was a comprehensive ecosystem bringing together government officials, investors, entrepreneurs, artists, and industry leaders. Dr. Inya Lawal, founder of Africa Creative Market, made clear why Zambia earned hosting honors: “People often ask me why we chose Zambia. My answer has always been simple; because Zambia is ready.” That readiness manifested across specialized summits, film screenings, awards ceremonies, business forums, and cultural showcases, all laser-focused on unlocking the continent’s creative potential through strategic investment and cross-border collaboration.

From the Creative Capital Forum exploring financing pathways for creative businesses to the Global Creative Legal Summit tackling intellectual property protection under the African Continental Free Trade Area, every session reinforced one truth: Africa’s got the talent, but sustainable systems will determine the future. The Creative Technology Summit dove into how AI and digital innovation are reshaping storytelling, while the YouTube Economy session showed creators how to turn views into viable businesses. Fashion got its moment through the FashionEVO Summit and Fashion Show & Awards, celebrating designers pushing sustainable production and manufacturing excellence. But perhaps the week’s most electric moment came with the ACM Next Level Music Showcase, where ten emerging artists competed before industry professionals for career-defining opportunities. Philip Mweemba emerged victorious, walking away with cash prizes plus international music distribution and publishing support—proof that ACM 2026 wasn’t just talk, but real opportunity.

As the Lusaka edition closed, one thing became crystal clear: Africa’s creative economy is shifting from cultural richness to economic force, building the infrastructure, investment networks, and continental partnerships needed to compete globally. This wasn’t just a successful event—it was a decisive step toward a more connected, competitive, and influential African creative future.
