The Nigerian rap scene is experiencing major turbulence as Blaqbonez has taken legal action against fellow rapper Odumodublvck, filing a massive ₦2 billion lawsuit that has sent shockwaves through the African music industry. Beyond the ₦2 billion in general damages, Blaqbonez is demanding an additional ₦500 million in aggravated damages and ₦50 million to cover legal costs, underscoring the severity of the allegations.

These include a perpetual injunction barring Odumodublvck from making further defamatory statements, mandatory deletion of all offensive content from his social media platforms, and a public apology that must remain pinned on his verified accounts for 30 consecutive days. The memorandum also references allegations of physical harassment, assault, and threats to Blaqbonez’s personal safety.
