Funke Akindele Unveils “The Four” — A December Cinema Event Featuring Shoday and Waje

Nigerian cinema heavyweight Funke Akindele is gearing up to dominate the big screen once again. Hot off a legendary box office streak, the acclaimed actress, filmmaker, and producer has just announced The Four: No One Fights Alone, dropping globally in theaters December 11, 2026. This one’s a departure from her blockbuster comedies—think powerful drama, deep emotion, and a story rooted in the unbreakable bonds of friendship and resilience.

Produced under Funke Akindele Network (FAAN TV) and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, The Four tells the story of Esosa and three fiercely loyal women navigating the journey between the scenic Odu Community and the relentless pulse of city life. Together, they fight for the future of a young man they love, confronting tests of courage, faith, and loyalty that push them to their limits.
