The wait is almost over. Davido has just dropped the official tracklist for Oriadé, his highly anticipated sixth studio album set to arrive this Friday, July 31, 2026. The timing couldn’t be more significant—the 13-track project lands exactly 15 years after the Afrobeats heavyweight first stepped into the professional music scene, marking a full-circle moment in his legendary career.
The album’s title carries deep cultural weight. Oriadé blends two Yoruba words—”ori” meaning destiny and “adé” meaning crown—to symbolize a crowned destiny or fulfilled purpose. According to Davido, this project represents a return to his roots, channeling the raw, authentic sound that first put him on the map while celebrating themes of resilience, self-belief, and his extraordinary journey to global stardom. It’s both a retrospective and a statement of intent from an artist who’s spent a decade and a half shaping the sound of modern African music.
The lineup reads like a who’s who of contemporary African and international talent. Fans have already gotten a taste through the previously released singles “I Know Who I Be” featuring JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, plus “Gimme Dat Ting” with NO11.
