Princess Wonda Delivers Intimate Seven-Track Journey on Magic Hour EP

Afrofusion artist Princess Wonda has returned with her most vulnerable work yet. After nearly five years away from full-length projects, the singer unveiled Magic Hour, a seven-track EP that weaves together Afrobeats, Afro-R&B, and soul into an intimate exploration of romance and self-awareness.

Dropping in August, Magic Hour marks Princess Wonda’s sophomore EP following 2021’s Fantasy Fair. The new body of work showcases her evolution as an artist, diving deep into themes of love, desire, confidence, and the complexities of self-discovery. Each track flows seamlessly into the next, creating a cohesive sonic experience that feels both personal and universal. The project demonstrates Princess Wonda’s ability to blend traditional Afrobeats rhythms with contemporary R&B sensibilities, carving out her own distinct lane in the Afrofusion space.

The release comes on the heels of significant visibility for the artist, with previous singles earning placements on major streaming platforms. Her track “Bust My Mind” landed on Amazon Prime Video’s Harlem, while “Bank Stops” found its way onto HBO Max’s Young Love. Following the EP’s release, Princess Wonda took to Instagram to express gratitude to her growing fanbase. “I’m genuinely so grateful,” she shared. “Thank you to every single person who has listened, shared, added a song to a playlist, sent it to somebody or found a favourite on this project. Watching these songs find their people has been beautiful. And we’re only getting started.”
