Princess Wonda Returns with Captivating Seven-Track EP “Magic Hour”
After nearly five years since her last full project, Afrofusion artist Princess Wonda has gifted fans with a stunning new collection of music. Her latest EP, Magic Hour, arrived in August with seven tracks that weave together the intricate threads of love, passion, and personal empowerment through a rich sonic tapestry of Afrobeats, Afro-R&B, and soul.
The release marks a significant moment in Princess Wonda’s artistic journey, serving as the follow-up to her debut EP Fantasy Fair, which dropped back in October 2021. Magic Hour showcases the evolution of her sound while maintaining the authentic storytelling that has earned her placements on major streaming platforms. Her track “Bust My Mind” previously landed on Amazon Prime Video’s Harlem, while “Bank Stops” found its home on HBO Max’s Young Love, cementing her presence in the global entertainment landscape.
The singer’s gratitude for her supporters was evident in her heartfelt Instagram message following the EP’s release. “I’m genuinely so grateful,” she shared with fans. “Thank you to every single person who has listened, shared, added a song to a playlist, sent it to somebody or found a favourite on this project.” She added a promising note about what’s ahead: “Watching these songs find their people has been beautiful. And we’re only getting started.” With Princess Wonda hinting at more content from the Magic Hour era, it’s clear this project is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
